Original Reebok Coreboard |
|
The Reebok Coreboard is used to
improve core stability strength. It is a way to challenge muscles that
don’t usually get used. It will create a neuromuscular challenge
because it is not a stable surface like the floor. It will keep your
brain working with your muscles.
Exercises that can be done with the
Coreboard are sit-ups, pushups, squats, lunges, and arm lifts - to name a
few. This is an advanced exercise equipment, that should be used for
people that need an additional challenge and have accomplished the
regular exercises on a flat surface first. Always practice on the floor
first before trying it on the Coreboard.
Both the professional and
original Coreboard model will tilt rock and swivel in all directions
freely. In the professional model there are three adjustable levels
of difficulty. You can add a medicine ball or weights for further
challenges in your training. One problem in traditional
exercise is that you only exercise a certain muscle group. The
Coreboard will challenge muscle groups that may not typically get
exercised.
With use of the Coreboard there
should be improvements in torso and limb strength. It will improve your
balance, agility to move, plus improved coordination as well as make
exercise more intense. Cost for the Reebok Coreboard will range from
$160 up to $190, professional version may cost more. Other similar
balancing boards are available from other manufacturers as well.
