Hugh Downs the
former ABC News 20/20 co-host has been confirmed as a speaker at the
Advocates for Self-Government's 20th Anniversary Celebration.
Advocates is a Libertarian Organization. Hugh has won a place in
the hearts of libertarians when he said they had “all the good
ideas”.
The Libertarian
Party was founded in 1971 in the home of David Nolan. The
Libertarian Party is the third largest party. The last Presidential
candidate Michael Badnarik received nearly 400,000 votes in 2004.
Libertarians believe in a small limited government with much fewer
laws and regulations.
The event will be
held in Atlanta October 14th -16th.
Various Authors
will attend including Robert Ringer, author of Restoring the
American Dream. Author and 2 time presidential candidate Harry
Browne will also be speaking at the event. According to the event
