American Idol – Girls Performances

American Idol – Girls Performances

Last nights American Idol showcased the 10 girls out of the 20 contestants that are left. The performances were much better now that they have become used to the audience and the camera.

The best performance last night was Melinda Doolittle who sang a rendition of “My Funny Valentine”. She has a background as a back-up singer. It got the seal of approval from the judges.

The second best performance was by Lakisha Jones singing, “Midnight Train to Georgia.”

Antonella Barba will be able to stay on the show, unless of course she is voted off. The scandalous photos found of the internet were only a bit risqué. American Idol stood up for her, and said it wasn’t their business. That is her private life.

American Idol has started a summer camp for kids ranging in age from 12-15 called “Idol Camp.” The camp is located in Northfield, Massachusetts and is for kids that have a passion for performance arts. They will have instructional classes in singing, dancing and acting to song writing and audition techniques. They are currently accepting application for this 2007 summer camp program.

Tonight the American Idol will have the results show tonight at 8/7c on FOX.
