(Best Syndication) Eastern Kentucky (Richmond KY) won the Ohio Valley Conference tournament in the first buzzer beater in March Madness. The 6-foot 7-inch Josh Taylor beat the clock with 2.9 seconds remaining.

Although the 65-team field will be announced Sunday on CBS, the major conferences begin their tournaments Wednesday and Thursday. Three bids will be determined tonight with championship games in the Colonial (7, ESPN), West Coast (9, ESPN) and Metro Atlantic (9, ESPN2) and three more Tuesday night in the Mid-Continent (7, ESPN), Horizon (9, ESPN) and Sun Belt (9, ESPN2).

North Carolina beat the Duke Tar Heals Sunday. Tyler Hansbrough got elbowed in the face by Gerald Henderson while fighting to make a shot underneath the basket. Blood poured from his nose, down his face and onto the court. They clinched the top spot in the Atlantic Conference.

Henderson was ejected and will not be able to play in the ACC tournament. Henderson said “He got our guys in the air, and I came down on him. It's unfortunate that it turned out like it did, but I wasn't trying to hurt the kid or anything. It just turned worse than it was."

But what about the PAC-10? When and what time are our local games? On Thursday #8 Cal or #9 Oregon State will play UCLA (2:50 pm). It is likely to be Cal. Also on Thursday, #3 USC will play #6 Stanford (6:20 pm). The Pac 10 Tournament Championship will be broadcast on CBS on Saturday at 3p.m.
