(Best Syndication) When you think of USC, you think of football, right? This year the USC basketball team has gone from sixth best in their conference to number one. Most agree that the addition of two freshmen has a lot to do with their success.

Daniel Hackett should be playing his senior season in high school, but instead he's playing like a college senior with years of NCAA Tournament experience. Taj Gibson has provided the boost needed for the Trojan success this year.

This is the best season in six years for the Trojans. Nick Young said "It was very hard for us, very tough for Gabe, Lod and me being here and then, all of a sudden, we just got some great freshmen that came in and helped lift us. Now we're playing great. Like I said, I hope we just keep it up."

Hackett, the 6-foot-5 guard pressed Texas' 6-foot-9 Kevin Durant relentlessly on Sunday, bringing home the victory. If the Trojans win Friday night against North Carolina they advance to the Elite Eight.
