Lakers Lose To Phoenix Suns 95 to 87 In First Game of Playoffs

Kobe

(Best Syndication) Kobe went from fantastic to miserable in the Sunday Lakers game against the Suns. This was game one in the NBA playoffs. The Suns ended up beating the Lakers 95-87 with a forth quarter rally.

This was the second straight year that the Lakers met the Suns in the NBA playoffs. If you got bored and left the game at half-time, you would have been surprised the Lakers lost. Lakers had double digit leads in the first half and were up by 9 at the half.

The Suns have the second best record in the league, and the Lakers have the worst record in Phil Jackson’s Hall of Fame career. The Lakers are hoping to take one of the first two games in the desert, and they seemed up for it at first.

The game got physical as Steve Nash elbowed the face of Lamar Odom in the first quarter. Odom got some stitches but was right back in the game. In the second quarter Kobe really started to heat-up. Kobe hit three consecutive three point shots.

During the third quarter the Lakers were still in charge, but things changed in the fourth. Leandro Barbosa, the fastest man in the league just kept on scoring. He scored 15 straight points in the 4th. The Suns tied it at 77 and then went on to win. Kobe only made one shot in the forth quarter.
