[Best Syndication] Argentinian, Angel Cabrera, surprised everyone by taking home the trophy for the 107th US Open golf championship. Cabrera scored one-under par to place top while both Jim Furyk and Tiger Woods trailed closely behind.

The only other Argentinian to win a major golf title was, Roberto di Vicenzo whom won the 1967 British Open at Hoylake.

The final round on Sunday was Cabrera scoring one-under-par with 69. Furyk scored an even-par score of 70 and Woods was respectably scored at two-over at 72. This was a tough competition and Cabrera did a great round of golf.

Cabrera began his career in golf as a caddie for a local club. He said that this job was to put food on the table. One of the benefits to being a caddie was he was allowed to play on Mondays. He felt that playing golf was his only option.
