San Bernardino County Fire Department Asks For $550,000 For Seasonal Staffing – Phelan Pinon Hills And Wrightwood

Board Meeting June 12th

(Best Syndication) This dry fire season has prompted the San Bernardino County Fire Department to ask the county Board of Supervisors (BOS) for an extra $550,000 this year. The money is needed for supplemental staffing and if approved may be transferred from the general fund.

Last Tuesday the fire department made their case to the BOS. The Board will vote on the proposal this Tuesday in San Bernardino. Wrightwood, Lucerne Valley and Phelan fire stations are asking for a limited time firefighter on a 24-hour shift basis. The total cost of the staff for the three stations is $168,000.
