US Open Tennis Tournament- Henin-Hardenne First Win of the Event

The US Open Tennis had its first win with 24-year-old Belgian, Justine Henin-Hardenne, who played against Maria Elena Camerin. The matches lasted a total of 74 minutes with scores of 6-2 and 6-1.

The US Open in Flushing Meadows, New York has been faced with rain that delayed the first game around 90 minutes. The midday temperatures reached 72 degrees, but the humidity was reported to be at around 87 percent.

Henin-Hardenne is also a French Open champion who also won the U.S. Open crown back in 2003.

The men’s side of the US Open started with Andy Roddick winning against Florent Serra with scores of 6-2, 6-1, 6-2.

Andre Agassi announced that this will be his last US Open and he will be retiring after this season. This is the 21st time that Agassi has played the US Open. His first game this season will be played against Andrei Pavel.

The 126th annual US Open will be broadcast on both the USA Network and CBS from August 28th through September 10th.
