After Willie Nelson’s tour bus was pulled over for a routine commercial vehicle inspection in Louisiana, the country singer was cited for possession of marijuana and “magic mushrooms.” The officers said that when the door to the bus was opened there was a powerful stench of marijuana.

The police found about a pound and a half in the tour bus early Monday morning. State police spokesperson, Willie Williams, said that there was enough for a felony charge. According to a report from Associated Press, since all inside the bus maintained the marijuana was theirs, and the pot was not packaged for resale, the police issued each a misdemeanor citation.

Misdemeanor drug citations were issued for Nelson, 73 of Spicewood, Texas, as well as his 75-year-old sister, Bobbie Nelson of Briarcliff, Texas, Tony Sizemore, 59, of Saint Cloud, Florida, Gates Moore, 54, of Austin, Texas, David Anderson, 50, of Dallas, Texas.

Nelson has not been shy about his drug use. In a report from the AAP news agency, “Jackass” star Johnny Knoxville recently recalled trying to keep up with the country music superstar, and failing.

Knoxville told Playboy, "I'm not a weed person, but when Willie Nelson passes you a joint, you don't say no.”

The country legend gave him a token that left Knoxville feeling like "I was on [bleeping] acid. ... And I had to do interviews that day. I called him later to say, 'Thanks a lot, Willie. I was on [bleeping] Mars for six hours.' Nothing could have made him any happier."

In another interview, he said that Nelson's "shit is a commitment. I honestly don't see how he functions. People pass out smoking that.” Nelson has recorded songs including "On the Road Again" and "City of New Orleans."
