The explosive device left outside and exit leading to a conference center. The bomb’s explosion caused a plate-glass window to shatter. There were 26 employees working inside the four story building when the explosion went off and nobody was injured. After they heard the explosion these employees called 911. At 7:31 pm the fire department responded to the emergency call.

According to an interview by local San Jose CBS Channel 5 news, San Jose Fire Department Capt. Jose Guerrero said, "Whatever caused this was pretty strong. It's tough to break one of these windows."

Local firefighters and bomb squad have been investigating the explosion. They only found the one bomb. CBS Channel 5 also said that the investigations of the debris of the explosion did not have any radioactivity.
