Emmitt Smith wins Dancing with the Stars Competition

For Absolute Beginners Ballroom Dancing DVD

Emmitt Smith, 35, who is a former Dallas Cowboy NFL star won this season’s Dancing with the Stars competition.

This award will go well along side his three-time Super Bowl championships. The competition was fierce with the two remaining competitors in dancing with the stars. Both Lopez and Smith scored the same and it was up to the audience to decide who will be the next winner. Mario Lopez, 33, was favored, however the audience pushed for Emmitt Smith to win.

Smith’s dancing partner that helped bring them to victory is Cheryl Burke, 22. This is the second time in a row that Burke has won the Dancing with the Stars competition. Last year she won with Drew Lachey, 30.

TMZ is reporting of possibility of Emmitt Smith getting hired as a daytime talk show host, due to his popularity ratings with Dancing with the Stars.

As for the runner up, Lopez told People Magazine, "Apparently world-class dancing wasn't enough. That wasn't the criteria it was based on. I don't really care about the trophy. I just wanted to win for Karina. She is honestly the best dancer in the world. No disrespect to the other girls on this show, but they don't hold a candle to her."

There was no doubt that both couples danced exceptionally well and we will have to wait until next season starts to find the next champion dance star.
