Angelina Jolie interview on ABC’s Good Morning America show – Kissing Brad Pitt’s Best Friend Matt Damon and on Adopting again

This week on ABC’s Good Morning America, Diane Sawyer, interviewed Angelina Jolie about adopting children, and her role in the movie “Good Shepherd”. Jolie kisses her co-star Matt Damon, who is also good friends with Brad Pitt.

Sawyer asks Jolie what is the differences between kissing Matt Damon and kissing Brad Pitt?

Jolie answered saying, "You know, one's a friend, and one's my love."

Sawyer asked Matt Damon how he liked kissing his best friends wife. Sawyer asks Damon, “How do you do a love scene with the girlfriend of your good friend, especially if they're Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt?”

"It's weird...We all know each other…" Damon said.

"In reality both the people we're involved with couldn't have cared less about that because they know us. You know, it's one of those things where it's like the least threatening person…You know, ‘Good luck to you guys, I hope it's not too awkward.’"

Damon, 36, said that his marriage to Luciana Bozan while filming this movie had changed their relationship. He told Sawyer, “It had more of an impact on me than I thought it would," Damon said. “We already had the house in Florida and everything, and so I didn't. ….. I didn't think it was going to really change anything necessarily, but it actually did.”

Jolie does not have plans to marry Brad Pitt anytime soon.

Sawyer asked Jolie why she hasn’t adopted an orphaned American born child. Jolie replied, "Well, I don't see borders in the world. I mean I work with programs here for all children." She continued to explain why she adopted in foreign countries saying, “Well, to be honest, it's just been, I've been led by something emotional…I've been moved by the countries.”

Jolie has adopted two children, Maddox she adopted from Cambodia, and Zahara she adopted from Ethiopia. She and Pitt have a natural born baby girl named Shiloh.

Jolie tells Sawyer about Pitt as a father saying, "He really enjoys them. He woke up very, very early this morning and let me sleep in because I had this interview. ….. Dealing with the two girls and bottles and food, which is not easy to do, on his own, for quite a few hours this morning so I could rest. ... He's just a really great partner, a great, great man."

Jolie says that her and Pitt want to adopt another child. She doesn’t want to have another pregnancy and tells Sawyer that she is on birth control pills to prevent any pregnancies.

"I even think that I did make it clear that we, we would think about adopting next,” Jolie explained, “which is important for me in the balance of how — in our own family, our kids perceive it."
Jolie continues, "Yes, we have Shiloh and it's been a wonderful experience, but we want to find another brother or sister in the world for our family."

"You know, now the questions are more when you have a mixed-race family,” says Jolie, “Do you balance the races so there's another African person in the house for Z? So there's another Asian person in the house for Mad? Shiloh has Brad and I she can look at."

"What's best for the children as they grow? We don't just want to have different children from different countries. That's not the point,” Jolie said.

Jolie details what makes her family life special, saying it really is just the simple stuff and spending time with the kids.

"Really, the big special times are just like this morning, just very, just a lot of nothing together. Just sitting around coloring,” she said. “We broke the coffee machine. We tried to fix it. We were playing with the kids, just trying to find somebody's bottle, change somebody's diaper that's, you know, gone leaky and just all that good stuff."
