Miley Cyrus performs on 'American Idol' Gives Back - FOX

[Best Syndication] This week, I forgot, the ‘American Idol’ contestants get a break from being eliminated while they have fundraising for AIDS. The contestants answered phone calls on stage and Ryan Seacreast at one point during the show said that ‘American Idol’ has raised over $8 million so far. The lack of intriguing performances on Tuesday night by the contestants was made up on Wednesday by all of the celebrities and performers that arrived to rally support for the cause.

At one point they showed a segment with Annie Lenox visiting a family of boys that had neither a living mother nor father. Both parents died from AIDS and they are raising themselves. It really makes you want to squeeze you kids just a little bit more.

Miley Cyrus, Bono, Carrie Underwood, and Mariah Carey along with so many more celebs made their plea for Americans to donate to the AIDs charity.

The contestants that slacked this week better make it up next week. If I remember correctly from last season they combine two weeks worth of votes to eliminate the next contestant.
