(Best Syndication News) Counting votes can be a long process and as of midnight over half of the precincts in California have reported in. Here are the results for propositions 8-12 with 59 percent reporting (see updated results below).
Prop 8
Proposition 8 would repeal a state court decision that allowed for same sex marriage. A yes vote would ban gay marriage. So far with 59 percent of the precincts reporting the measure is passing with 53 percent YES and 47 percent NO.

Prop 9
The Victim’s Rights Proposition 9 may be passing. According to the registrar of voters the measure is passing with 53.6 percent of the voters saying YES and 46.4 saying NO.
Prop 10
Proposition 10 would allow for the sale of bonds to be used for renewable energy and alternative fuels. This measure is going down to defeat with just 38.9 percent saying YES and 61.1 percent saying NO.
Prop 11
The redistricting measure is passing by a margin of 51.6 percent to 48.4 percent.
Prop 12
California voters support the final measure on the ballot. Proposition 12 is passing with 62.7 percent of the voters saying YES and just 37.3 saying NO. This was the Veterans bond initiative.
