[Best Syndication News] Nick Jonas already has been to the White House where The Jonas Brothers have been invited to perform, but this time he visited as part of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in order to testify at Wednesday's a Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee hearing in regards to government funding for diabetes research.

In the meantime, Jonas was at the White House today along with a group of kids that also have diabetes. Nick Jonas was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 13 and has been very public about this and has helped raise awareness of the health problem.

Jonas who is now 16, was reported by People magazine as an unexpected surprise when he showed up at the White House when other diabetic children were getting ready to meet with President Obama. The kids were reported to have been screaming “We got to meet Nick Jonas!” all while showing off autographs that he gave out.

Nick Jonas said in a press release from the JDRF.org website, "I'm really looking forward to testifying before the Senate Committee on behalf of all JDRF Children's Congress delegates to ask Congress to support research to find a cure."

The Jonas Brothers just recently kicked off their tour in Dallas, Texas over the weekend and will be on tour across the US and Canada in the summer. In the Fall they will tour the UK. This is following the new release of their album "Lines, Vines and Trying Times."

Jonas briefly met with President Obama. Jonas is planning to get a tour of Capitol Hill later on today along with meeting with the House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi. On Wednesday, he will testify before the Senate for type 1 diabetes research funding to continue from the government to help find a cure for the disease. Maybe CSPAN ratings will spike tomorrow as kids across the country tune in!
