[Best Syndication News] Ebay Inc. announced on Monday that they will be reducing fees by 20 percent for its top-rated sellers and they will also push their listing to the top of the list in the search.

In addition eBay will be giving the “Top-Rated Seller” title to around 150,000 sellers that meet their requirements for this, which should put a few smiles on these sellers face after having suffered from search criteria hurting their business in the past few months. The new changes could also continue to put the fear in many eBay sellers.

In order to be considered a “Top-Rated Seller” you have to have at least 100 transactions in a years time and have at least generated $3,000 in sales volume during that same time period. In addition the sellers will need to have a seller rating of at least a 4.6 out of of possible 5.

Ebay lowered the amount of transactions needed to qualify which will help out a lot more of the smaller regular sellers on the auction website.

The changes are expected to take place between September 22 and October 1, 2009. In addition to this there will be minimum seller ratings in order to continue to sell on eBay. There is a second round up of even stricter requirements to be able to sell on eBay coming April, 2010. If you don't have a good seller rating you're going to get the boot it looks like.

There still is a lot of fear from sellers getting negative feedback and getting pushed out of the search listings because they would no longer meet the requirements to gain from the program.

While the eBay auctions have been slow during the recession, the corporation's other entity PayPal is doing well and had better than anticipated results for the 2nd quarter.
