[Best Syndication News] The $2.3 billion that President Obama along with Congress made available to California for the construction of the high speed rail system will change the way we travel. Governor Schwarzenegger said in a radio speech that he is proud that the state has received funding to build this rapid train from major cities through California.

Instead of flying from Los Angeles to San Francisco it probably will be more efficient to travel via the high speed rail system with the trains being capable of traveling 220 m.p.h. Schwarzenegger said that this rail system in California will stretch 800 miles. The time it would take to travel from LA to San Francisco he said would take only 2 hours and 40 minutes.

The project won't break ground until next year Schwarzenegger said. He added that in November of 2008 voters agreed to spend $10 billion for the high speed rail system. The project will create 600,000 jobs, which will be beyond the construction, planning and engineering jobs. Schwarzenegger said that the project will also help the food, material and retail industry and more.

Schwarzenegger also added that the high speed rail system will help to save upwards of 12 billion pounds of greenhouse gases each year.
