(Best Syndication News) - Southwest Airlines is celebrating 39 years of service with $39 flights one-way and other discounted tickets prices during this 72 hour airfare sale which starts June 22nd and will go through the end of day on June 24th, 2010. This airfare sale is for flights that will be taken from September 8th through November 17th, 2010. The sale price are for one-way pricing with $39, $79, and $119 to select destinations. The airplane ticket pricing discounts are based on the amount of miles traveled.

For travel up to 450 miles select destinations are $39 one-way. If you travel between 451 – 1000 miles the airfare discounted tickets are $79 one-way. For flights that go over 1001 miles they are $119 for one-way pricing. These are for select destinations and you can book the flights at southwest.com. You can click on the $39 airfare sale on their website and search for the destinations you want to travel, they will show you the discounted flights for the sales starting with the September 8th date, you can then change the dates that you want to travel during the allotted travel time and then book your flight reservations.

Here are some examples of the locations for each distance for the airfare sale:

$39 airplane flight ticket one-way between Baltimore/Washington and New York LaGuardia
$79 ticket price for one-way between Chicago Midway and Houston Hobby
$119 plane ticket price for one-way between Los Angeles and Philadelphia

The first two checked bags are at no cost, but there are size and weight limits that do apply. There are no extra charges for a window or aisle seat. Complimentary food, snacks are also free. You do have to book your flight reservations by 11:59 p.m., PDT on June 24th, 2010 and travel between Sept. 8, 2010, and Nov. 17, 2010. You can't travel on Fridays and Sundays to get the Southwest Airlines advertised discount airfare deal.

There are extra fees that are not included in the advertised prices which include government taxes and other fees. Make sure to read the detailed additional rates on Southwest.com to determine the total amount of the airfare. The seats are limited and might not be available on all flights. The tickets are nonrefundable, but if you can't travel on the date you can apply it to another flight, which you need to contact Southwest about the details on this.
