Panasonic unveils the Lumix DMC-TS3 digital camera with 3D photos, GPS, and full HD video

(Best Syndication News) - Panasonic unveiled the Lumix DMC-TS3 camera that is able to take 3D photos and record full High Definition videos at 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The camera also has built in GPS which is able to act as a compass, an altimeter and a barometer.

The Lumix TS3 digital camera has a 12.1 megapixel and is waterproof to around 40 feet and shockproof of a drop around 6.6 feet. This camera also can handle temperature down to 14ºF (-10 degrees C). The Lumix TS3 is the next model following the TS2 model.

The Lumix TS3 camera is able to take 3D photos, it does this by taking 20 pictures rapidly and then picks that best two photos to create a 3D image. The photos are compatible with MPO equipment and will be able to enjoyed on a Panasonic Viera 3D HDTV.

The lens on the Lumix TS3 camera is a 28mm wide-angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR and has an optical zoom of up to 4.6x. The 12.1 megapixel Hi-Speed CCD sensor takes photos at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 which is full HD quality. The video records at full HD quality as well. The camera has Dolby® Digital Creator which is a higher quality audio. There is also a built in LED light improve photos in darker rooms. The camera has a 2.7-inch LCD display screen.

The camera has a Image Uploader function which makes it fast to share directly from the camera to your online social networking site such as YouTube or Facebook. The way that this is accomplished is that you have to connect your camera to a USB cable or take the SD memory card and put into the computer and then the software will automatically launch to let you upload to were you want to send your files.

Panasonic designed the Lumix TS3 for those that want to go outdoors and do activities such as camping, hiking, skiing, diving, or snorkeling. With the extras such as the GPS, compass, altimeter, and barometer, the camera adds more functionality to these outdoor activities. The GPS will also tell you where the picture was taken.

Panasonic expects to have the Lumix TS3 digital camera available to consumers some time in March of 2011. They will announce the pricing and exact release date 30 days in advance.
