Google Earth offers free interactive tour for Presidents Day
|
(Best Syndication News) - Presidents Day is tomorrow, and to pay tribute to all those that were elected to lead the United States, Google has a special interactive trip through all of them. You have to have Google Earth plug-in installed on your system and then you can watch a tour of all the presidents were they came from and pinpointed on the map.
As you progress through time and the United States of America boundaries change as the nation expands westward. It is interesting to see that many of the early Presidents came from Virginia.
When you take the tour you get a picture of each president along with their name where they came from along with their birth and death year. If you are interested in learning more about the president there is a link to Wikipedia.org for more reading.
This is not all the cool educational lessons at Google Earth. There are other lessons on Capital cities, plate tectonics, Presidential Homes, Physics, history, and more. Google Earth is free to download and use. There is a paid Google Earth Pro version which is different and not needed for most people.
