Amazon adding Universal Pictures Movies to streaming Prime Instant Video

(Best Syndication News) - Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) announced today that they have completed a digital licensing agreement with NBC Universal Domestic TV Distribution. This agreement will allow Amazon.com to stream a collection of Universal Pictures movies through Amazon’s Prime Instant Video service. Amazon will add around 9,000 movies and TV shows soon.

Some of the titles being added to Amazon Prime from Universal Pictures collection include "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," "Elizabeth," and "Gosford Park." Family friendly films such as Babe," "Flipper," and "Jetsons - The Movie” will also be available.

Amazon Prime is a yearly subscription service that gives discounts and upgrades on shipping. Additionally, Amazon Prime members get unlimited viewing of streaming movies and TV shows. The price for Amazon Prime is $79 for the year after a one-month free trial.

Amazon Instant Video streaming service also sells digital copies and offers individual rentals without signing up for a yearly membership.
