(Best Syndication News) - VUDU announced that they now support the Apple iPad for their video-on-demand online service. VUDU is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. They do not have monthly subscriptions, but instead offer individual rentals and purchase options for their video library of 20,000 titles.

Rentals are as low as 99 cents, but most rentals start at $3.99 for new releases. VUDU also has special $2 rentals for 2 days.

To get the VUDU app on their Apple iPad, the user must visit on their device and click on the “Add to Home Screen” button. This will create a VUDU icon on the iPad desktop.

The rental cost does not include Internet data fees. If you have a measured data plan that limits your transfer amount, you might want to consider this when renting movies online. Movies use more data-transfer than most Internet browsing.

There is a promotion for a free movie rental. If a person signs up at they can get one free rental for a limited time. To view the details of this offer visit
