Netflix strikes Multi-Year Streaming Content deal with DreamWorks Animation

(Best Syndication News) - Netflix announced today that they have reached a multi-year licensing agreement with DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. The online streaming movie and television subscription service will have the first-run exclusive of feature films and certain TV specials from the production company. DreamWorks produced ‘Shrek,’ ‘Madagascar,’ ‘Kung Fu Panda,’ and ‘How to Train your Dragon.’

The deal starts in 2013 with Netflix offering the DreamWorks Animation feature films with their streaming video service. Netflix will continue to offer more DreamWorks titles as time goes on.

Netflix did not disclose the financial costs of this contract deal.

Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX‎) stock slumped after the start of the split service billing for mailed DVD service from their streaming rental service. The current after hours stock price today is at 132.56.
