Netflix expands Android Honeycomb Tablet support for Streaming Video Service

(Best Syndication News) - Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ: NFLX) announced today the expansion of Android 3.x devices supported in the US, Canada, and Latin America. Now international subscribers will be able to watch streaming videos on the supported Android based smartphones and tablets. In the US, there is now additional support for the Android Honeycomb tablets.

To get Netflix on the device, the subscriber needs to download version 1.5 of the Netflix App from the Android Market.

Netflix said that they now support 700 devices for streaming video in the United States. This includes, Internet TV consoles, Blu-Ray disc players, computers, game consoles, set top boxes, and mobile devices.

Netflix stocks opened lower but moved higher mid-day. The share price fell more than two percent to $109.42. Since the close of trading the stock is up slightly.
