AT&T expands 4G LTE Service in 11 more areas including NYC and Los Angeles

(Best Syndication News) - AT&T announced 11 more areas for their 4G LTE service including New York City metro area, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Other areas include Austin, Chapel Hill, Oakland, Orlando, Phoenix, Raleigh, San Diego, San Francisco, and San Jose.

The coverage area expanded from 15 areas in 2011, now to 26 coverage areas. The AT&T 4G LTE service is now available for 74 million consumers.

The 4G LTE service is also available in Athens, Ga.; Atlanta; Baltimore; Boston; Charlotte; Chicago; Dallas-Fort Worth; Houston; Indianapolis; Kansas City; Las Vegas; Oklahoma City; San Antonio; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Washington, D.C.

AT&T said that they are the only company to offer 4G with HSPA+ and LTE technology, which optimizes performance when the 4G LTE is not available.

The company is anticipating completing the 4G LTE coverage upgrade for the majority of their network by the end of 2013.
