(Best Syndication News) - The 2012 Super Bowl is over, but this year's advertisers are hoping that the $3.5 million they spent for each 30 second spot will catch the viewer’s attention and live-on long after the event. The advertisements are often funny because we tend to talk about them, and hopefully people will want to watch them again. Plenty of advertisements played it safe this year, while others pushed the safety threshold. Funny Super Bowl ads dominated again this year. Here is an overview of some of the funny Super Bowl Ads for 2012.

Elton John was featured in a Pepsi commercial where he was king, and Melanie Amaro sings for him. She then declares that Pepsi is for everyone and he is thrown off his throne.

M&M spoof on LMFAO’s song “I’m Sexy and I Know It,” was a big hit. The red M&M strips off his outer shell and flexes his arms and then wiggles for the girl M&M.

Chevy did a post apocalyptic scene were the only survivors were Chevy vehicle owners. They then they share a box of Hostess Twinkies. They mention Ford, which has gotten flack from their competition for saying that their truck was less durable.

The Coca Cola polar bears ads had a series themed around the big football game. The bears are cheering on their favorite team. The one bear is crossing his fingers and legs for good luck.

There was another Chevy commercial where a son graduated college and thinks his parents gave him a new convertible; instead they gave him a dorm-sized refrigerator.

Toyota reinvented a baby that would not need changing, and rain that makes you skinny in their advertisement.

Hyundai advertised a new use for their vehicle with a CPR technique using the car brakes. Hmmm, I don’t think this would work in real life guys.

Celebrities were included with a remake of “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” with the actor Matthew Broderick as a grown up driving a Honda. Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno starred in an Acura ad.
