ECHO Gas Powered Backpack Lawn Blower Recall announced for Free Fuel Line Repair

ECHO PB-265L recall for free repair - CPSC

(Best Syndication News) - The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a voluntary recall by Echo Inc. for one model number of their gas powered backpack blower lawn equipment, because they could possibly leak fuel and catch on fire. The recall involves around 16,000 units. No injuries or incidents have been reported.

The model numbers involved are PB-265L with two ranges of serial numbers involved: P093121 35519 through P093121 50152 and P078110 20732 through P078110 22309. The gas powered lawn blower was sold at Home Depot and ECHO dealers nationwide between 2011 through January 2012 for around $270.

The PB-265L is a 25.4 cc blower that has an orange and black color case that has the word “ECHO” printed on the pull starter housing and also on the blower tube. The serial number is located on a label that is located near the gas cap. The model number is on a label that is next to the pull starter handle.

Consumers who have the recalled lawn blower should stop using the unit until it has been repaired at no cost at an authorized ECHO servicing dealer.
