Cribs sold at jcpenney are on Recall Notice for needed Repair
|
(Best Syndication News) - The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the voluntary recall of Nan Far Woodworking’s Rockland Furniture brand baby cribs because the drop sides could malfunction, which poses a danger for the child.
The cribs were sold exclusively at jcpenney stores and online at jcpenney.com. The manufacturer is offering a free repair kit to fix the problem, until then consumers who have the recalled crib should not use them. Instead, caregivers should make sure to have a safe alternative place for the child to sleep.
Around 16,700 of the recalled cribs were sold between January 2005 through December 2008 for between $150 and $400. Six different model numbers of the Rockland Furniture brand cribs are involved in the recall. The model number and the word “Rockland Furniture” is found on a rectangular label on the lower part of the headboard section.
The following model numbers are involved:
Consumers who have the recalled cribs should stop using them until they can install the free repair kit. They can contact Nan Far Woodworking toll-free at (877) 967-5770 (9 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT M-F) or by visiting their website at www.rocklandimmobilizationkit.com.
