Vehicle recall - BSN

(Best Syndication News) - The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced the recall of certain 2010 Jeep Wrangler vehicles because of a fire hazard. The transmission skid plate could collect debris. Because the plate is located near the catalytic converter, the debris could catch on fire.

Around 67,872 vehicles are involved in this recall. Chrysler will be having their dealers replace the skid plate with a skid bar. The repair will be at no cost to the vehicle owner. Chrysler will notify vehicle owners of the recall during May 2012.

Vehicle owners with questions about the recall can contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler has a recall number of "M22."
