Kathie Lee Gifford appologized to Martin Short for Interview Blunder

(Best Syndication News) - Kathie Lee Gifford make a mistake interviewing Martin Short on NBC’s ‘Today’ by asking him how he and his wife have been married for so long. Unfortunately, Short’s wife, Nancy Dolman, had passed away two years earlier.

Gifford said during the interview on Wednesday, "He and Nancy have one of the greatest marriages of anybody in show business. How many years now for you guys?"

Short handled Gifford's goof up well and avoided the blunder while on air. Later, Gifford was made known of this error and apologized publicly on Twitter writing, "I send my sincerest apologies to @MartinShort and his family. He handled situation w/ enormous grace and kindness and I'm so grateful."

Of course, Short has accepted her apology. His wife passed away on August 21, 2010 from cancer after a three-year battle.

Short was out promoting the film Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, in which he provides the voice of Stefano. The movie will be released at theaters nationwide on June 8, 2012.
