Evenflo High Chair Recall announced for Replacement Tray

CSPC

(Best Syndication News) - The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CSPC) announced the voluntary recall of certain Evenflo convertible high chairs because the activity tray could detach unexpectedly. This could put the child at risk of falling and becoming injured. Evenflo is offering a replacement tray to remedy this problem.

Around 35,000 convertible high chairs are involved in this recall. They were sold at Toys "R" Us and Walmart stores nationwide and were sold online at Walmart.com and Wayfair.com between December 2011 and June 2012 for about $40.

Evenflo received 18 reports of the high chair’s tray detaching unexpectedly. Eight reports involved children falling and being injured with bumps and bruises.

The convertible high chairs change from a high chair into a toddler chair and table. The Evenflo high chair models are the Dottie Lime 29111259, Dottie Rose 29111271, and Marianna 29111234. The model numbers are on a label on one of the chair’s legs.

Consumers who have the recalled high chair should stop using it until they can get a replacement tray to remedy this problem. Evenflo’s toll-free numbers is (800) 233-5921 (8 a.m. - 5 p.m. ET M-F). Consumers can also find more information at http://safety.evenflo.com.
