Vehicle Recall - BSN

(Best Syndication News) - The US National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced the recall of around 53,239 Chevrolet Cruze vehicles because they could be mission a secondary bracket holding the fuel tank strap. The part might have been left out of the vehicles.

Only certain 2011 and 2012 model year Chevrolet Cruze vehicles are involved in the recall. They were manufactured red between October 2009 and May 14, 2012. The danger of missing the secondary bracket is that the fuel tank could come loose in an accident. This could cause fuel to leak out from the gas tank, which could cause a potential fire if the fuel becomes ignited.

General Motors (GM) will be notifying vehicle owners of the recall on our around July 11, 2012. They owners will be instructed on how to get their vehicle inspected and repaired for missing welds at their local dealership. The inspection and repair will be at no cost to the owner.
