(Best Syndication News) - Both DISH Network and AT&T U-Verse TV have been trying to come to an agreement with AMC Networks. AT&T U-Verse TV reached an agreement to continue to carry the AMC Network channels. DISH Network on the other hand, did not reach an agreement and have dropped AMC from their channel lineup, which includes AMC, IFC, and WE tv channels.

AT&T announced that they have reached a reasonable distribution agreement with AMC Networks to continue to carry AMC, IFC, Sundance, and WE tv channels. The two companies arrived at the agreement this Sunday, July 1.

Jeff Weber, President of Content and Advertising Sales, AT&T said in a statement, “It was important to us on behalf of our U-verse TV customers to come to a positive resolution as quickly as possible. We appreciate everyone’s willingness to make that happen, working diligently over the weekend, so customers can continue to enjoy the programming they love on U-verse, the fastest growing TV service in the country.”

On AMC’s website they posted the following message:

"DISH Customers

DISH has dropped AMC. If you are a DISH customer, you won't be able to watch our shows The Walking Dead, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Killing and Hell on Wheels."

AMC goes on urging customers to switch to another service that does carry their channels.

Dish Network announced that they are replacing AMC with HDNet Movies, which is a commercial free movie channel. They also will replace AMC's WE tv and IFC channels with HDNet and Style channels.

Dish Network said that they made the decision to keep subscriber rates as low as possible. They did not see the value of continue to carry AMC for the price that they were asking.
