California - Earthquakes shake near Fort Bragg and Twentynine Palms Today

(Best Syndication News) - Two minor earthquakes shook during the early morning in Northern and Southern California today. A 4.3 magnitude earthquake shook near Fort Bragg in Northern California. Another 3.3 magnitude earthquake occurred near Twentynine Palms, which is located in the low desert region of Southern California.

The Fort Bragg earthquake was at 5:48 a.m. this Sunday morning, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). The 4.2 magnitude earthquake was reported by residents in the area as having light shaking with no damage. The USGS CISN Shakemap suggested a moderate tremor with very light damage potential. The earthquake was located 2 miles north-northwest of Fort Bragg, California. The next nearest city was Ukiah, which was 40 miles away from the epicenter.

The second earthquake was in Southern California near Twentynine Palms. The 3.3 magnitude earthquake occurred this Sunday at 3:50 a.m. The USGS reported the exact location of the event, which was at 33.967 degrees North and 116.139 degrees West, at a depth of 4.5 miles. Twentynine Palms was 12 miles from the earthquake epicenter. The city of Indio was 17 miles away, and Coachella was 19 mile away from the event.
