AT&T adds 4G LTE service to Bakersfield and Modesto

Cityscape - BSN

(Best Syndication News) - AT&T announced that they have turned on service for the 4G LTE network in Bakersfield and Modesto, California. The AT&T 4G LTE network is up to 10 times faster than the company’s 3G service. The faster service works with compatible 4G LTE Smartphones and other mobile devices.

AT&T has been rapidly expanding their 4G LTE network throughout the United States. The company explained that their 4G LTE customers could still get a boost in non-LTE areas with their 4G HSPA+ network.

“We continue to see demand for mobile Internet skyrocket, and our 4G LTE network in Bakersfield responds to what customers want from their mobile experience — more, faster, on the best devices,” said Jace Barbin, Vice President and General Manager of Mobility & Consumer Markets for the Greater Los Angeles Region.

AT&T also announced today that they have turned on the 4G LTE network in Jacksonville, Florida; Anchorage, Alaska; Bridgeport, Connecticut; Omaha, Nebraska; and Syracuse, New York.
