(Best Syndication News) - The NASA Space Shuttle Endeavour will be arriving in Los Angeles this week. There was an announcement made today rescheduling the flight day to carry the Endeavor to the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The flight was rescheduled for Wednesday, September 19 from September 18, due to an undesirable weather forecast along the way. The 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA) will carry the Endeavor on top of it and it should arrive in Los Angeles on Friday, September 21, 2012.

The decision to reschedule was made by NASA and the California Science Center. The flight path between Houston, Texas and Florida has been unfavorable this week.

The journey will be a special on. In its journey to Los Angeles, Endeavor will perform many low-level flyovers at around 1,500 feet. NASA worked with the Federal Aviation Administration for the special flight plan requirements. Because of the rescheduling, there could be a few stopovers that may be delayed or canceled.

The new plan is to have the SCA plane with Endeavour attached take off at the Kennedy’s Shuttle Landing Facility, in Florida, at sunrise on September 19. There are various areas for the planned flyovers, including the Space Coast, the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and Patrick Air Force Base.

The flight path will then journey west with another planned flyover at NASA's Stennis Space Center in Mississippi and above the agency's Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans. When SCA arrives over the Texas Gulf Coast area, more flyovers are planned for areas of Houston and Clear Lake. The plane is expected to land at Ellington Field, which is near NASA’s Johnson Space Center.

The next day, on Thursday, September 20, the SCA plane will continue to transport Endeavour after taking off from Houston and stopping to refuel at Biggs Army Airfield in El Paso, Texas. There is another planned low-level flyover around White Sands Test Facility near Las Cruces, N.M., and NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center at Edwards Air Force Base in California. Around midday, the plane will land at Dryden.

The NASA Social at Dryden may be canceled, but at this time, officials have not yet determined this. The NASA social media team will notify the event attendees of their plans.

The next morning on September 21, the SCA aircraft with the Endeavour will take off from Dryden and make a low-level flyover of northern California is planned around the area of NASA's Ames Research Center at Moffett Field, Calif., and various landmarks in multiple cities, including Sacramento and San Francisco. Then the flight will travel down to Southern California with several low-level flyovers planned for Los Angeles locations before finally landing around 11 a.m. PDT at LAX.

Once at LAX, the Endeavour will be taken off of the SCA airplane and will undergo preparations for a 12-mile journey on the city streets of Los Angeles. The surface streets are being prepared too with trees being cut down in order to make it possible for the Endeavour to fit through safely. The trees will be replanted to replace any trees that were lost during this monumental move. The road trip to the Los Angeles California Science Center is planned for October. Space Shuttle Endeavour should arrive at the museum on October 13, 2012.

It will take a couple more weeks before visitors at the California Science Center will be able to enjoy the Endeavor. It will be on display starting on October 30, 2012.
