(Best Syndication News) - Starbucks Coffee Company (Nasdaq: SBUX), along with Tata Global Beverages Limited, opened their first Starbucks store in Mumbai, India on October 19, 2012. The flagship store is located in the historic Elphinstone Building, Horniman Circle, in Mumbai. This 50/50 joint venture will be opening two more Starbucks stores in Mumbai next week; one at Oberoi Mall and another near the Taj Mahal Palace Annexe.

The new stores will have a design and color scheme to match the Indian culture. There will be teakwood furniture, artifacts, and flooring to reflect the locale. The flooring has an artwork pattern that reflects the local culture.

The new Starbucks locations will be offering customers an Indian Espresso Roast, which is locally sourced coffee that is brought in through an agreement with Tata Coffee. The agreement between Starbucks and Tata Coffee Limited has provisions to help promote Indian-grown Arabica coffees worldwide.

The Starbucks India store locations will offer Tata Tazo, Himalayan mineral water, along with their popular espresso-based beverages. The food options will include Western favorites and local Indian cuisine such as Elaichi Mawa Croissant, Murg Tikka Panini, Tandoori Paneer Roll, and the Star Club.
