(Best Syndication News) - Netflix subscribers will be able to see the Disney theatrical films during the same period as Pay TV customers starting in 2016. Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) announced the multi-year agreement with The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) today.

The new licensing agreement will commence in 2013 with high-profile Disney direct-to-video new-releases that will be made available on Netflix. Starting in 2016, theatrically released feature films from Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, and Disneynature will become available to view on Netflix on their streaming “Watch Instantly” service at the same time Premium Pay TV gets to air the film. The streaming will be allowed on televisions, tablets, computers, and mobile phones.

An additional agreement was also made between the two companies. Netflix will have a multi-year catalog deal that includes Disney classics such as, “Pocahontas,” “Dumbo,” and “Alice in Wonderland.”
