Lenovo introduces new IdeaPhone Smartphones
(Best Syndication News) - Lenovo (HKSE: 992 (ADR: LNVGY) announced their new IdeaPhone line of smartphones today at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The K900 is their flagship smartphone, but they are also introducing the S890, S720, P770, A800, and the A690 models.
Lenovo will start shipping the smartphones in January 2013 in China and some other global markets. They are offering a variety of phones with different price points. All of Lenovo’s smartphones will have dual-SIM slots, and larger, higher resolution displays.
Their consumer model, the S-series smartphones, has entertainment in mind. These phones will have multimedia and entertainment features available to the user. The target market will be young, urban professionals.
The P-series smartphones were designed with professionals in mind. These phones have longer battery life, extra security and anti-virus features.
The most cost conscious consumers will have a choice with the A-series models. These phones will be low cost, but will still have advanced smartphone features. The A-series is intended for new users or those on a tight budget.
The Lenovo K900 smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch IPS display. The super-slim phone is only 6.9 mm thick. The K900 phone has the Intel Atom processor and the best camera for mobile phones.
The Lenovo S890 smartphone model has a 5-inch display with 960x540 resolution and is designed for entertainment. The 8MP auto-flash camera is able to take photos in low light. The phone is 9.3 mm thick, which helps make it lightweight (only 6.2 ounces).
The Lenovo IdeaPhone S720 is a multimedia phone designed to share, view, and edit content. The phone has built-in Dolby Digital Plus and Super Camera software. It also has a dual-core MTK CPU and a 2000mAh battery. The 4.5-inch IPS display supports a 960x540 resolution. The camera comes with an 8MP front facing camera, and a 1MP rear camera. Measuring only 9.9 mm thick, the S720 is available in three colors.
The Lenovo IdeaPhone P770 phone is designed for business professionals. The phone comes with a 3500mAh battery to support up to 30 hours of talk time between charges. The phone has a USB port that can charge other devices as well as share files securely with an anti-virus software that comes with the phone.
The Lenovo A800 phone is a budget friendly model. The smartphone comes with at dual core 1.2GHz CPU. The display is a 4.5-inch FWVGA. The battery is 2000mAH and the phone will be able to share photos, play games, and browse the Internet.
The Lenovo IdeaPhone A690 is their entry-level smartphone. The 4.0-inch WVGA display supports an 800x480 resolution.
Lenovo anticipates the new IdeaPhone models to start shipping in China and other regional markets in January. The prices will vary for the model and the market where it is introduced.
