New Improved Apple Valley Air Show on September 27 In High Desert Near Victorville California
(Best Syndication News) APPLE VALLEY CA - San Bernardino County Supervisor Brad Mitzelfelt joined Apple Valley Councilman Scott Nassif today to announce the 2008 Victor Valley Airshow/Expo. The airshow, which will be held at Apple Valley Airport on September 27, will feature more planes, activities and attractions than in previous years.
“We’ve held an Airshow at Apple Valley Airport for years - and it’s been a good event for families and aviation enthusiasts - but this year we’re partnering with the Victor Valley Airshow Association to make it an even better event,” said Supervisor Mitzelfelt. “We’re planning to have more planes, more attractions and more activities for both children and adults.”
At a press conference held at the Apple Valley Airport, Mitzelfelt and Nassif presented details about the airshow. Also present at the press conference was a World War II era P-51 Mustang airplane.
“I’m glad this event is back in Apple Valley, and bigger than ever,” said Councilman Nassif. “The county airport is such an asset in our community, and this is a great opportunity to show it off.”
Some of the attractions at the airshow include aerobatic performances, fly-bys and static displays of dozens of antique, experimental, and military aircraft, including an F/A-18A fighter jet, skydivers, aeronautical displays by NASA, aviation seminars, and antique car and motorcycle displays.
At the press conference, Mitzelfelt also presented the Victor Valley Airshow Association with a $5,000 sponsorship check and encouraged other organizations to support the event as well.
