[Best Syndication] A study was presented at the EULAR 2007, the Annual European Congress of Rheumatology in Barcelona, Spain that discussed the benefits of breast feeding and reduced risk for developing rheumatoid arthritis. Mothers that breast feed for at least thirteen months had a reduced risk for developing the disease. The researchers did not see any relationship to risk factors for oral contraceptive use or hormone replacement therapy with the development of rheumatoid arthritis.

“Whilst other studies suggest that hormonal factors play a part in the development of RA, and we know that pregnancy can result in an improvement in RA symptoms, we wanted to investigate the long term effect of breast-feeding,” said the lead researcher Dr Mitra Keshavarz, of Malmö Hospital University, Sweden. “This study specifically highlights the potential of naturally-induced hormones in protecting individuals from developing RA in the future. Furthermore, it adds to the growing body of evidence in favor of breast feeding and its positive health implications – this time demonstrating its protective benefits for the mother.”

The FDA held a public hearing on June 12 and 13, 2007, to obtain feedback on the FDA's Medication Guide program. Medication Guides contain the FDA-approved patient information for a drug and are handed out by pharmacists to help prevent adverse events.

Ellen Bleecker Liversidge appeared at this hearing as a board member of the Alliance for Human Research Protection to offer feedback for the Medication Guide on Zyprexa, an atypical antipsychotic marketed by Eli Lilly. She began her talk by explaining why the testimony that she had planned to give had to be changed at the last minute.

"I sat down and read over the material provided for this hearing and was all set to speak on content as well as delivery systems," she told the FDA panel. "However, I didn't get very far because, believe it or not, there was no Zyprexa MedGuide."

The Israeli government says they are watching closely what is happening in the Gaza Strip. Since the Hamas has taken control of the Gaza.

On Wednesday Shimon Peres was elected the ninth President of Israel. The President is the head of state in Israel. The origin of the name is in the title of the head of the Sanhedrin (the supreme Jewish political, religious and judicial body in Eretz Yisrael) from the first century B.C.E. to the fifth century C.E.
