Nina Yablok, the original Slipperati

I was born in a log cabin... oh wait, that's not me. I was born, brought up, and educated all the way through law school, in New York City. I even drove a cab in NYC while I was in law school, and that's something that just stays with you forever. But I've lived in California since 1976, and practiced business and corporate law here since 1977.

Slipperati is a term I coined after a CBS executive referred to bloggers as "just some guys in their pajamas." Since at that time I didn't have a blog, but I represent various bloggers and blog organizations, I called myself a member of the Slipperati. And yes, I do work from my home. Although I have an outside office, I only use it to see clients, so I actually do get to work while wearing some of my wonderful fuzzy slippers.

I represent a wide assortment of small businesses throughout California. I also am active in the Business Law Section of the State Bar of California. Right now I'm on the Cyberspace Committee, but I've also recently been Editor in Chief of the Business Law News. I'm also an active Toastmaster.

My husband, who also works from home, is a blogger, journalist, musician and podcast producer.
