Another good anti-aging exercise is weight training. Pilates is a gentle method of developing and toning your muscles but weight training can concentrate this muscle development more specifically. Weight lifting or load-bearing exercises will help you to build up lean muscle.
Why do you need to develop muscles? Toned muscles throughout your body are invaluable for anti-aging. You will have fewer injuries, and you will increase your energy levels. Exercise also boosts your metabolism, so this will help to prevent you from gaining weight. All these things are great for anti-aging as they will make you look better and feel healthier.
Of course, you can do a combination of these exercises for maximum benefit and to prevent boredom with your exercise routine.
