Viewty LG KU990 - Better Than The iPhone?

LG KU990 Viewty

With all the hype of the current release of the Apple iPhone you would be forgiven for not being familiar with LG’s latest offering, the LG KU990 Viewty. As with the iPhone handset the Viewty allows you to navigate its menus and features with the touch of a finger. But LG have added a few features to the Viewty that the iPhone is sorely missing. Could this touch screen technology underdog really be better than the iPhone?

The LG KU990 Viewty is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera including a xenon flash and auto focus which puts Apple iPhone’s 2-megapixal offering to shame. The camera can also be switched to capture high speed motion footage and includes a unique feature that allows you to watch the video replay in slow motion. Combine this with the option to automatically upload to YouTube and you can plainly see why the Viewty is genuine competition for the iPhone.

Because our cell phone typically accompanies us everywhere, unwanted calls to them take on a particularly annoying and sometimes frightening tone. Errant telemarketing calls or spam in the form of text messages can interrupt at inopportune times and can carry a charge to the receiver either in the form of minutes or cash. On the other hand, harassing calls can be not only inconvenient but threatening as well. Questions regarding how to reduce or eliminate unwanted calls to a cell phone are one of the most frequent topics presented to customer support forums in the cellular industry.

Certainly there are steps that all cell phone owners can take to combat the intrusion and expense of unwanted calls and text messages as well as additional safeguards that are specific to individual cell phone models. Becoming familiar with the protective features offered via the cellular provider is easy via their website in most cases. Reviewing the manual for a specific cell phone will also inform customers of any functions that may allow them to bar calls and messages or limit their intrusion.

(Best Syndication) Apple announced that they will open their new iPhone and iPod up for developers to write programs. There should be a special software development kit available in February, which should "provide an advanced and open platform to developers while at the same time protect iPhone users from viruses, malware (and) privacy attacks."

Previously the company has limited outside development to their web browser “Safari” which is used by their devices. Developers have complained that the company tried to control the iPhone too much. This decision could help the company in the long run and could make their devices even more popular. More than 1 million iPhones have been sold since it was released on June 29.

Apple iPhone Tops 1 Million mobile phone sales since release – New Lower Prices may have helped

Apple iPhone Tops 1 Million mobile phone sales since release – New Lower Prices may have helped

Apple iPhone

[Best Syndication] Apple Inc. sold one million iPhones this past weekend with the newly reduced price tag. It took a whole two years for the company to get 1 million iPods sold. With the newly reduced price tag of $399 for the 8 GB version what spurred the extra sales?

Investors in Apple Inc. were cautious with stocks when the company announced the price reduction the iPhone. There was concern that there was a lack of demand for the mobile phone and also less profit margin in the newly lowered prices. With the sales of 1 million iPhones investors may be a bit relieved to see the volumes and popularity and the goal set by Apple to sell 1 million units by the end of September.

Customers that had purchased at $200 more than the newly reduced price called foul on Apple. The 4 GB version is being discontinued, the reason for this is not clear. Apple offered angry customers of the iPhone that paid the higher dollar ticket a $100 store credit at Apple stores and also an apology from Steve Jobs.
