[Best Syndication News] Bo Diddley died from heart failure this past Monday at his home in Archer, Florida. He was 79 years old and had established himself as a rhythm-and-blues pioneer of rock ‘n’ roll since his claim to fame in 1955 on the “Ed Sullivan Show”

Diddley had spent the last 20 years of his life living at his home in Florida.

Other artists followed his stylings included, Buddy Holly, the Grateful Dead, and even Elvis Presley.

In 1987 Diddley was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 1998 he was given a Lifetime Achievement Grammy.

Diddley was born in 1928 with the name Ellas Bates in McComb, Mississipi. His name changed to Ellis McDaniel when his mother’s cousin adopted him. He used Bo Diddley as a stage name because he said that was what childhood friends would call him.

(Best Syndication News) Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus says she will be working at least one more season. Last week we reported that the 15 year-old star was considering quitting the show. According to a fellow employee she was distraught over the coverage she has been getting following her photo-shoot with Vanity Fair magazine.

According to Hollywood.com, she wants to do at least one more season and maybe two. “We’re doing the movie, and then one more season, maybe two,” Cyrus said. “It’s probably going to be one more season though.” She is even considering other avenues for income.

They both got a chance to perform on the ‘Today’ Show and sign autographs for the fans that showed up for the concert series that they run in the summer time.

Both have accomplished great response with music downloads. David Cook received 940,000 downloads according to Nielson SoundScan figures that was released today. David Archuleta had 323,000 downloads for the same time period.

This is a great reflection of the number more votes that David Cook received, which was an extra 12 million votes. There was a record amount of votes this year for the finale on ‘American Idol’ season 7 with 97.5 million votes.

(Best Syndication News) Britney Spears is back in the studio working on her new album. The pop-star is in the creative process of producing her album and is looking for that “It” Factor. The sessions were confirmed by producers J.R. Rotem and Sean Garrett.

“She’s great,” Rotem told the People Magazine. “She’s like a master at what she does. She’s a lot more experienced than most people. She just has the ‘it’ factor that not every artist has. So it’s always nice to work with her.” Neither Rotem nor Garrett have release any details about her album.

(Best Syndication News) Miley Cyrus is getting ready to release her new album, Breakout, on July 22nd. She is moving away from her on-screen persona and will not include her alter ego, Hannah Montana on the label.

The Disney’s Hollywood Records album will include her new single “7 Things” (see YouTube Videos Below) which was heard on the radio last week. She actually co-wrote the song with Antonina Armato and Tim James. She has worked with Armato before.
