(Best Syndication News) - There have been seven different manufacturers of baby cribs that are included in a newly issued voluntary recall which was announced by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) yesterday. There was over 2 million cribs sold that were manufactured between 2000 and 2009 that are drop-side or fixed-side cribs that could be a serious safety risk for young children. The CPSC said that consumers should contact the manufacturer of their crib involved in the recall to get a free repair kit or other remedies and that owners of the crib should not try to fix it themselves with homemade repairs.

The broken crib can cause the infant to fall, get entrapped, and to suffocate. It is important to periodically check cribs for any loose parts.
