[Best Syndication News] Energy efficiency has become a new thing with lighting in the last few years. First the incandescent light bulb had become widely replaced by the Compact Fluorescent Lamps that are those spiral shaped bulbs. But now, there has been a move to sell an even more efficient light bulb using LED technology. The Lighting Science Group showed off a DEFINITY line of 9 watt LED light bulb at at the LightFair 2010 show that is comparable to a 60 watt incandescent light bulb.

This is an achievement that is accomplished by having 19 LED lights incorporated into one light bulb. If there isn't enough LED lights, it won't produce enough light to satisfy most users. Achieving 60 watts comparable with a 9 watt bulb would work for many households.

The bad part is the upfront cost of around $30 to buy the LED light bulb, but the good part is the amount of electricity that you would save in a years time. And if you use a lot of lights, it could add up to sizable savings. The Lighting Science Group claims that the LED light bulb can last around 23 years.
