Recall of more Cordless Tool Replacement Rayovac Battery Packs

(Best Syndication News) - The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the voluntary recall of an additional 65,300 Rayovac NI-CD and Rayovac NI-MH Cordless Tool Battery Packs because they could explode, which could potentially cause injury. This is an expanded recall from a prior recall by BatteriesPlus LLC back in December 2011, which involved around 111,800 units.

BatteriesPlus imported the recalled Rayovac battery packs. The company announced more product recalls after three more consumers reported the batteries exploding. One consumer had sustained an injury to their finger. The batteries were sold at BatteriesPlus retail stores nationwide and online at their website, baterriesplus.com. The batteries involved in this current recall were sold between June 2008 and July 2012 at a retail price of $60 - $70.

SONY unveils new 84-inch XBR 4K TV set with Four Times the Resolution than 1080p HDTV

(Best Syndication News) - Today, SONY unveiled their newest XBR 4K TV set at their San Diego headquarters. The large 84-inch display (measured diagonally) is an LED panel television set that is capable of delivering four times the resolution compared to the HDTV sets currently on the market. The XBR-84X900 TV set will also be Internet capable and 3D.

The 4K resolution is 3840 x 2160 pixels. The set can display that resolution so long as the source can send that resolution. The signal is sent through a single HDMI cable. With this TV set, consumers will be able to enjoy digital still photos from their cameras displayed at the 4K resolution on the large screen display. If the 4K resolution becomes the new standard, more devices and broadcasts with the higher resolution will become available.

Mother’s Touch Deluxe Baby Bather recall announced for Repair

(Best Syndication News) - The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) along with Health Canada announced the voluntary recall of over 2 million Mother’s Touch Deluxe Baby Bather products because the wire frame could give way when carrying the baby in the seat. If this happens, the baby could fall and hit its head. The manufacturer, Summer Infant, is offering consumers a free repair kit to remedy this problem.

Seven incidents in the US have been reported to the CPSC and Summer Infant. Five infants had sustained head injuries after falling from the bather. Four of these babies had skull fractures from the fall. One child had to be admitted to intensive care to be treated for bleeding on the brain.

Sherwin-Williams announces recall of certain Coating, Glaze, and Paint Spray Can Products

(Best Syndication News) - The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the voluntary recall of four different Sherwin-Williams products that come in spray cans because they could leak. The contents could become exposed to an ignition source, which could cause a fire.

The four products involved in the recalls are Tree House Studio™ Clear Acrylic Matte Coating, Dupli-Color® Perfect Match™ Automotive Paint, Krylon® Triple Thick Crystal Clear Glaze, and Krylon® Indoor/Outdoor Crystal Clear Acrylic Paint.

Charmin Brand Toilet Paper Election kicks off in Flushing, NY

(Best Syndication News) - Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG) is hosting a Charmin 2012 Toilet Paper Election to determine what is America’s favorite product – Ultra Soft or Ultra Strong. The election kicked off with a rally in Flushing, Queens. Consumers are invited to vote for their favorite on Charmin’s Facebook page.

At the Flushing event, there were red and blue colored Charmin Bears to get everyone into the toilet paper election spirit. The Charmin brand is also gearing up to for the National Toilet Paper Day, which is coming up this Sunday.
