Current Mortgage Interest Rates Today – Lower Rates again as Treasury Yields decline

(Best Syndication News) After four straight days of declines, mortgage rates declined drastically again today (see mortgage rate chart below). All of the major banks we monitor, including Bank of America, Citibank and Chase, lowered their interest rates.

U.S. Treasury yields have been dropping over the last few days. Yesterday the 10-year note, the benchmark for some lenders, fell three basis points to 3.25 percent. Despite inflation concerns, investors have been looking for the U.S. safe haven driving down yields.

Current Mortgage Interest Rates – Changes at HSBC US Bank and Bank of America

(Best Syndication News) Mortgage rates were mixed today with some changes at HSBC, U.S. Bank and BofA (see rate charts below). Home loans have declined four days in a row.

30-year Fixed Mortgage Rates

The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage (FRM) decreased one basis point to 4.727 percent. After plugging the interest rate into a mortgage calculator we found a monthly payment of only $1,222 on a $235,000 loan. Over the last week the rate has dropped 10 basis points.

Mortgage Interest Rates Today – Declines at Citibank PNC and Chase Banks

(Best Syndication News) Mortgage rates were lower again today for the third straight day (see rate charts below). Three major banks led the trend.

30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rates

The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage (FRM) declined one basis point to 4.741 percent today. This product is lower for the week, month and 100-days.

Citibank lowered their 30-year rate two basis points to 5.06 percent.

Current Mortgage Interest Rates – SunTrust, PNC and Bank of America make changes

(Best Syndication News) Mortgage rates fell across the board today with conventional loans hitting near 4.75% (see rate comparison chart below).

30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rates

The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage (FRM) fell three basis points to 4.752 percent today. This is the average conventional loan rate, not including FHA and VA financing.

SunTrust lowered their conventional 30-year fixed mortgage rate one point to 4.81 percent. The bank also dropped their FHA loans 13 basis points to 5.07 percent. These loans are backed by the United States government. In the event of a default, the balance is paid off.

(Best Syndication News) Mortgage rates changed direction today and increased (see rate comparison chart below). Chase raised their rates while Citibank and BofA lowered them.

30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rates

The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage (FRM) increased one basis point today, reversing a week-long trend. After plugging the rate into a mortgage calculator we found monthly payments of $1,237 on a $235,000 loan.

Citibank lowered their rate five basis points to 5.12 percent.
